At Right Owner Systems, we strive to empower artists and labels throughout the world to reach and extend their full
creative and commercial potential.
For many years we have worked inside the core of the music industry at different major record companies.
Our primary role was to optimize business processes and invent critical it-systems to support successful business operation.
During all these years we have seen and participated in the rise and fall of many large music business systems.
From first hand we have witnessed how commercial success of any record company primary depends of the ability to administrate
the business effectively. The majors have known this for decades and they therefore continuously invests enormous resources in order to
trim their systems and businesses.
As years passed we realized that major record companies because of their size would always end up having not one but many
critical stand-alone and overlapping systems - with a lot of derived inefficiencies as a result hereof. In practice the
majors cover these inefficiencies by allocating extra money and resources to solve the ad hoc issues that always arise from such
inappropriate system build-up.
More importantly, we also realized that independent labels and artists would have little or no chance to compete as equals
with the major record companies. Independent labels and artist would never have the resources or skills to invent,
build and maintain such systems, even though their future commercial success and survival is depending of it.
Within all this the idea of MBAS emerged. Could we build a single but complete music business administration system?
A system that would include not only all required features and functionality of any size and type of music label.
But a system that would also include essential services such as distribution and copyright and broadcast society management.
Last, but most essential the system also had to be very easy to use and affordable by all labels.
Well, today this is no longer a thought - it's reality. MBAS is here. Many elements are already built and in
use live. We continuously design, program and release new elements according to our development plan.
All elements has been thought of, analyzed, blueprinted and scheduled.
Our background has given us the essential and unique insights in all the processes of the music industry and the
requirements of running a successful music business. With MBAS we bring all this to you!
